Dance of the Divine

In school the drawing teacher told us to paint the color wheel. The drawing teacher said, paint the primary colors first. It was a rather dreary exercise. Then she said mix two different colors and paint. What started off as a drudgery, started turning magical right in front of my eyes. Something suddenly changed in my soul. The little eyes sparkled and created a whole new color. It’s magic!!! The drawing teacher’s arrival was much awaited throughout the week. When she arrived next, I was ready with my little bowl of water, paint box and just one brush. She then said, mix two more colors and paint and lo! Magic happened again. That magic added life to my heart and soul. Maa said, darling make a painting with the magical seven colors. Seven colors? How will it get balanced? I let go of all my inhibitions of formulas and allowed the divine to take charge. In total surrender what got painted was actually the colorful dance of the divine.
